Hi, We’re Nido.

Caitie & Meg met in NYC on the founding team of a new infant program in 2017. As we fell in love with the magic of infant-toddler learning, we also found in each other both a profound shared respect for babies as well as a mutual propensity towards laughter & clowning around that has sustained us as friends and colleagues ever since. After years of teaching in large childcare centers, we have a vision for a new kind of infant-toddler group care. A place to take the learning of babies seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. A place where adults and children are inspired, engaged, connected & at ease. It is our hope that Nido is not just a little school, but a joyful, warm community where folks feel seen , heard, & appreciated as the whole people that they are.

The Stuff You Need to Know

Nido is a small home-based childcare program operating on a Family Child Care Home License (License #013423888). We serve ages 3 months- 48 months.

Tuition & Fees

Childcare at Nido costs $2950/month. This includes 2 nutritious snacks a day (morning & afternoon) as well as compostable diapers & wipes. Families provide all formula &/or breastmilk as well as a packed lunch for their child.

A materials fee of $150 is charged each semester (Dec & May)

Hours & Calendar

Nido is open Monday-Thursday 8:30-4:30 & Friday 8:30-3:00

We operate on an 11 month school year, August-June with seasonal breaks in Fall (1 week around Thanksgiving), Winter (2 weeks in late December), Spring (1 week in early April), & Summer (4 weeks in July). We are closed in honor of major holidays (Indigineous People’s day, MLK, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, etc.) and are closed some days for teacher professional development. Also built into our calendar are community building events like seasonal Family Potlucks & monthly coffee gatherings on the yard at drop-off time. Parent-teacher conferences occur twice a year in December & May.
